Rolfing

Whether from poor habits, chronic stress, past injuries, or surgeries, Rolfing helps you feel and move better by addressing the chronic patterns of tension and bracing in your body.

Life’s bumps and bruises, both physical or emotional, are accumulative whereas compensatory patterns can become deeply ingrained—even long after they’ve fulfilled their initial purpose of adaptation and protection.

What To Expect

With every session, we begin with an assessment of your structure, standing, and walking, to strategize and tailor treatment based on your condition and unique structure. This takes place with you wearing your sportswear or everyday undergarments so that we can see exactly how you’re moving and restricted. While this is hands-on work you may be asked to stand and move around periodically to assess the areas just released.

While individual Rolfing sessions can help address specific issues we know that the body responds to stress and injury by spreading the load across the body so as to mitigate discomfort and maximize our ability to get up and get through our day. Designed to take place over a series of 10 sessions, each treatment builds on the previous one with specific functions and quality of movement in mind.
